Tonight’s wine, Boekenhoutskloof Cap Maritime Hemel & Aarde Valley Pinot Noir 2017
I had waited a long time for this wine to get here. As you may know, I get most of my wine directly from wineries. This wine directly from South Africa.
I didn't really know what to expect as this wine was completely unknown to me and is actually made by the guys over #boekenhoutskloof. As you may already know the Hemel en Aarde ( Heaven & Earth ) valley makes some of the world's best Pinot Noirs & even this wine is on the more affordable end it's still really delicious. So delicious in fact my wife said she likes it as much as her favorite Pinot which is a wine from Oregon USA called Elizabeths Reserve from a winemaker called Adelsheim Vineyards.
I'm thoroughly looking forward to trying more and more of South Africa's amazing wines.
