2020 Birthday Week Wines, from Opus One to Pontet Canet

This year I've turned 43. Wow, what an incredible week it was.

It all started at Alex & Jen's house for an Italian Evening which was kinda also like a birthday party on the Saturday before my birthday!

The list of wines I had that week is long, delicious and very expensive so here goes. Hopefully, you enjoy this list as much as I did. It will likely not be replicated again.

Post lunch & Opus One tasting we headed down to Buon Vino & were treated to a few more amazing wines by Owner Gerald Morgan. That was fun & delicious.

The fun didn't stop there. Later that evening everyone showed up at my house & we threw some steak in the Sous Vide & we opened more amazing wines. Some still from the afternoon BV session and some new ones.

After the sous-vide we seared the steaks off on the grill & added Danish Blue Cheese to some and garlic butter to the others. They were amazing.

Thursday night was the Bordeaux Tasting at BV with Chateau Mazerat & Le Dome. Both right back but one was Merlot-based & the other Cabernet franc. Both were delicious.
